Come with us on this journey of discovery and adventure!
Lagoinha do Leste Trail
Difficulty level: Moderate/Hard
One of the best known in Floripa, the Lagoinha do Leste’s hike offers an approximately 2-hour walk offers a stunning landscape, with preserved Atlantic forest, panoramic viewpoints and a deserted beach (only accessed by the hike!). The route is considered moderate/difficult, due to some steep climbs and descents, but the effort is rewarded by the untouched natural beauty that awaits visitors when they arrive at the extraordinary Lagoinha do Leste.
There are two ways to start the route, as it is possible to access it from two places. Our suggestion is that you start the route at Matadeiro’s Beach and return through South’s Swamp, thus facing the most difficult part first.
Oh! You’ve probably already seen a photo of the famous Lagoinha do Leste’s rock. Well, let me tell you something: To access it, you need to take another hike! Which brings us to…
EXTRA: Crown’s Hill Hike: Surfer’s Rock
Difficulty level: Hard
Named after the rock at its top, whose shape resembles a crown, this hike may be short, but it is not easy at all! Pack your comfortable shoes, plenty of water and get ready to face a steep and partially slippery path, not recommended for the elderly and people with joint problems. Although it requires a lot of strength and attention, the view makes up for any difficulty.
Upon reaching the summit of Crown’s Hill, explorers are greeted with a breathtaking view of Florianópolis and its surroundings. On one side, you can admire the paradisiacal beaches and the crystal-clear blue of the Atlantic Ocean, while on the other stretch the mountains covered in lush vegetation. And, of course, you can take a photo at Surfer’s Rock and immortalize this magical moment.
Don’t forget: You need to be prepared to take a hike. Lots of water, something light to eat, sunscreen, clothes, comfortable shoes and insect repellent are essential!
Furthermore, get ready to connect with nature and enjoy unforgettable moments along all these stunning routes! The Magical Island awaits you
